 46. Marxist feminism

states that capitalism, which gives rise to economic inequality, dependence, political confusion and ultimately unhealthy social relations between men and women, is the root of women's oppression. According to Marxist theory, in capitalist societies the individual is shaped by class relations; that is, people's capacities, needs and interests are seen to be determined by the mode of production that characterises the society they inhabit.

47. Matrilineal

is groups organized on the basis of female descent in which the identity, family name or inheritance is determined through the mother's line.

48. Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR)

is defined as the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births in a period.
