 43. Human Development Index (HDI)

measures the average achievements in a country in three basic dimensions of human development namely a) A long and healthy life, as measured by life expectancy at birth b) Knowledge, as measured by the adult literacy rate (with two-thirds weight) and the combined primary, secondary and tertiary gross enrolment ratio (with one-third weight) and c) A decent standard of living, as measured by GDP per capita

44. Liberal Feminism

is a form of feminism that argues that equality for women can be achieved through legal means and social reform, and that men as a group need not be challenged.

45. Literacy Gender Parity Index (GPI)

is the ratio of the female to male adult literacy rates which measures progress towards gender equity in literacy and the level of learning opportunities available for women in relation to those available to men. It serves also as a significant indicator of the empowerment of women in society.
